The mega event of course as always was the Rajyothsava held on 23rd Nov. 1995. This was held at the Indian Embassy Auditorium in Kuwait. The Chief Guest for the event was His Excellency, the Ambassador of India to Kuwait, Mr. B.M.C. Nair. There were a variety of activities such as cartoon show, traditional songs, Rasleela, a drama titled Tale of Somanahalli, a skit titled “Mudukanige ondu Hudugi Beku”, Kolata and Pop dance. With very limited outside professional help, committed members put in their time and efforts in creating the props. This was evidenced in the temple dance based on the Dasara pada “Nee Yako, Ninna hang yako” wherein the scene depicting the Narasimha avatar coming out of the pillar was truly memorable. The day ended with a sumptuous dinner.
