Christmas party and AGM for the new committee was held in the last quarter of our term. Competitions such as food carving, cake decoration, drawing and Rangoli took place bringing out the creativity of our members. To sum it up, we would say that 1997 was a milestone year for many new beginnings and exclusive events all of which would not have been possible without the support of team EC and the KKK members. We had many dignitaries grace us on different occasions such as Mr. Ibrahim the Civil aviation minster of India with whom we put forward a memorandum for flights between Kuwait – Bangalore, and Kuwait–Mangalore. We felicitated Dr P.L.N Rao the dean of Kasturba Medical College who had promised to look into the interests of NRI students entering the medical field. Mr Vasuki whose network and connections got us in touch with Mr Ravi Varma a popular artist, Mr Mavin Kurve was the backbone to launch our first Kuwait Kannada Koota website and Mr Ranganathan whose energetic presence and enthusiasmin getting the work done at any time were notable for their continued support and contribution for the activities of KKK.
