The much eagerly awaited first mega event of the year Dasotsava was enthusiastically conducted by the Koota fraternity on February 7, 2014 at the auditorium of Carmel school, Khaitan. As a part of the celebration the grand divine wedding of Lord Shreenivasa ‘Shreenivasa Kalyanotsava’ was held with great pomp and show. Acharya Shri Parasharan Bhat, who arrived from India on invitation by the Koota performed the rituals of the divine wedding in accordance with rituals of Tirumala Temple back home in motherland. Young and old alike dressed in traditional south Indian attire rejoiced the ceremonial wedding that ended with the Mangalya Dharana by Shri Shreenivasa. Fancy dress by the tiny tots of the Koota, soulful Bhajans and devotional enactments by the ladies and gentlemen of the Koota added to the celestial devotional ambience of Kalyanotsava. The celebration culminated with the mouth watering sumptuous lunch platter served on a traditional plantain leaf.
